Weird rumor I heard - JWs in Sweden
by sir82 ini heard this from a "friend of a friend of a friend...." at least 3 or 4 intermediate steps before i heard it.. so it is likely distorted, but i'll throw it out there in case someone in or near sweden can clarify it.. .
i heard that the wts branch in sweden instructed all jws there to "get rid of" all (empahasized all) of their printed literature, and rely exclusively on the content of jw.org for their literature.. .
that's the entire extent of it - i also got a few speculations about "what it might mean" (the society is expecting persecution!

Would be amazing if they implament this but I doubt it. And if its only Sweeden, then why? only Sweeden? I wouldn't put too much faith in it. Like Jgnet said - I bet it is a Kingdom hall rumor; spreads like wildfire and has no substance.
That would be my guess. Keep us posted though...

To those still "in" - how do you keep up a facade?
by magotan ini can't come out until the summertime.
in the mean time, i have to feign interest like i want to stay so i don't end up homeless.. .
i can't sit at the meetings without getting visibily irritated.

Ok... In the next week start going to the bathroom ALOT. At home, meetings, and ask to stop every 20 min at service and stay in the bathroom for 10 to 15 min. Then tell a little white lie that you went to the doctor and found out you have irritable bowel syndrome. You can't do part as it comes on so frequently. Service can become more sporadic....
If you feel bad about lying, then suck it up till summer time...good luck

Take 2 bibles to the meeting. Hard cover if you can still get em. Cut out enough of the pages so that a smart phone fits and play games. Make sure you sit close to the wall and in the back left or right corners. good luck
The other will be for when you have no choice but to use your bible...

Do You Appreciate The Service Of Our Military?
by minimus inbeing raised a jehovah's witness, i did not have any appreciation for the military or for veterans.. now, when i see a military person, especially in uniform, i am grateful for their work as well as the fact that they risk their lives for us.. do you appreciate our men and women of the military?.

Discussion with family member who is an Elder in our congregation
by Newly Enlightened inso about a week ago, i showed my cousin & her husband [an elder in our congregation] the picture on pg 29 of our 4/15/2013 study wt and asked, "if jesus is head of the congregation then where is he?".
after several minutes of searching, dead silence.. i then asked if they had heard the part on the 2012 summer district conv the part about "our spiritual mother, where the c.o said that "the bible by itself does not shine thru as life-giving truths just by itself.
" they were shocked and said that i must have misheard it because that would be apostasy.

Point to all this. You cannot reason with the Jdubs. If they cannot hear the true shepherd's voice becasue of the WT cult brain washing then the error is their's.
I came to sites like this and JWFacts in the beginning to prove to myself that the JWs are right. I would have considered myself a JW apologist at first. It was pretty quick for me to realize and accept TTATT. While everyones situation is different, and you are probably right about not reasoning with these dubs as you know them better than me, sometime's they come around. I would suggest you keep helping them see the lies and problems with the org since you already opened pandoras box, that is until they turn you in for "apostasy." Good job and good luck with getting thru to them.
